BBM Trantec’s Managing director Sho Kudo commented:

“ We are thrilled to have won an Eddy – it means that the S6000 has been recognised on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. We’re looking forward to seeing the producton Broadway and to it being received as positively as it has already been in London’s West End.”

The S6000 was among five new products released in 2003, which have applications in the theatre sound market. For this reason they were chosen by a panel of working theatre sound designers as the 2004 Entertainment Design Sound Products of the Year.

The winning line-up includes the Aviom Personal mixing system, HME PRO850 Wireless Intercom, Meyer’s UPJ-1P Compact VariO Loudspeaker, Trantec’s S6000 and Yamaha’s DM1000 Digital Mixing Console. All the winners will be honoured at the EDDY Awards next June in New York.

The S6000 was enthusiastically received, by a select panel of Judges, all of who commented on the flexibility of the S6000:

“ It really seems designed for what we do. The built-in Ethernet and monitoring of units on a standard network is fantastic.”

Designed and built from the ground up at Trantec’s London based HQ, the S6000 has most recently taken London’s Theatre land by storm. Deployed by Orbital Sound on the legendary musical production - Chicago and the new Phil McIntyre production – Tonight’s the Night – the S6000 has proved hugely successful across the board. From designers and engineers who revel in the element of control it gives them and to the cast and stage management who love the miniature and very discrete size of the Transmitter
