Celebrating its 20th year, Dundee based Apex Acoustics has added Trantec's international award-winning S6000 wireless radio mic system to its extensive rental fleet.

Specialising in theatre productions and a myriad of live events, Apex Acoustics is one of the fist companies in Scotland to acquire Trantec's S6000. Complementing the companys existing portfolio, it has added enormous potential sitting alongside other leading industry brands, including Meyer, Midas and QSC.

Apex Acoustic's Managing Director, Paul Smith commented:

' I first heard the Trantec S6000 radio mic system at Sadlers Wells on a production of 'Singing in the Rain'. I was not only extremely impressed with its audio quality, but also with its host of unique features. The monitoring facilities in particular are the most advanced of any radio mic system, which is critical to the success in multiple systems designs. We're looking forward to our S6000 making its debut with us on a new musical production of Titantic.'

The S6000 has been designed from the ground up at Trantec's south London based HQ for use in theatre and broadcast and AV applications.

The feature packed system provides an innovative alternative across a number of sound production levels. Whilst its miniature transmitter has won votes with casts and production companies from the West End to Broadway, its 2 U rack-mounted receiver boasts unparalleled frequency agility. It allows up to 8 receiver cards to be slotted in, which augments flexible operation. Its internally mounted PC running windows XP, gathers system performance data from the receiver cards and allows a network of up to 40 receiver cards to be monitored from a single screen. These can be positioned backstage and FOH for maximum control.

Underlining Trantecs commitment to its S6000 range, which also includes the compact S6001 single receiver and S6002 dual receiver sister products, the company will launch the long awaited S6000 handheld transmitter at Prolight+Sound, Frankfurt, stand no: A64 Hall 4.1.
