The Trantec PT1 takes centre stage.
Leading UK manufacturer of advanced radio frequency products, Trantec Systems has recently supplied its innovative PT1 UHF stereo wireless Personal Trainer system to the brand new Rugeley Leisure Centre in Staffordshire - owned by Cannock Chase Council and built in partnership with Sport England.
Trantec collaborated with MLEC’s Mike Lowe who sourced the advanced system, which was installed by Stagecraft Systems, headed by Neil Craddock.
Trantec’s Active Audio PT1 system has provided a “complete” fitness entertainment environment. The installation involved the supply of the Trantec PT-1 in ear training units and included 5 x PT-1 transmitters, 30 x PT-1 receivers and 3 x 10 way chargers. The transmitter units were installed in a wall-mounted rack with glass door along with two Sky satellite receivers, video, DVD and 4 way video matrix. The supply also included three Fujitsu 42" plasma screens, transforming the Gym facility into a versatile, multi-functional space.
The PT1 system offers full entertainment facilities provided via a wireless roaming receiver allowing users to access up to 32 broadcast channels, simply with a touch of a button. Delivered with superb audio clarity, the PT1 allows users to move freely, without any loss of continuity, even when using the resistance equipment.
Designed and manufactured to the highest specifications at Trantec’s South London HQ, the system not only offers broadcast quality sound on the move, but as a “wireless” system it is simple to install and can be maintained very efficiently, without disrupting the daily operating routine of a facility.
The transmitter is DC powered, via mains adaptor, and features a menu driven LCD control panel, which can display the levels of both audio channels together, or an average of both along with the operating frequency or user name.
“ Although the timescale was fairly tight, Trantec were able to supply in time for Stagecraft to complete the installation” said the council’s Head of Leisure, Wayne Goodwin
Leisure Centre manager Peter Wheaton added, “We’re delighted with the system. It has added a new dimension to our gym facility allowing our customers access to great entertainment whilst working out. The PT1 system has transformed a conventional space and made it truly dynamic.”
For over a decade Trantec has been applauded for their commitment to creating radio products that continue to push boundaries and provide audio solutions for the most challenging contemporary applications - making Trantec synonymous with quality and innovation.
