Singer-songwriter and ex-Marillion frontman Fish and his band will be using backline wireless equipment supplied by advanced radio frequency products manufacturer Trantec Systems on his current European Tour.

Following the completion of the new album ‘Field of Crows’ ,the demanding 46 date tour which began in February and runs into April sees Fish on the road with a five piece band which includes ex-Big Country guitarist Bruce Watson.

Each member of the band will be using Trantec’s S4000 IEM, a UHF stereo In Ear Monitoring system which comprises a transmitter and two beltpack receivers – an ideal configuration for the small to medium sized venues on the tour schedule. The DC powered transmitter features a menu-driven LCD control panel which can display both audio channels simultaneously or provide an average of both. Other displays include operating frequency, user name and LED’s indicating stereo/mono and limiter operation. The receiver incorporates an LCD showing frequency information, volume control and LED’s showing RF reception

“The Trantec systems have performed equally well in all the varied venue situations. As an added bonus, the backline volumes are a lot quieter, the added cacophony of overloud foldback has all but vanished, making my job of a consistent house mix far easier” said Chris Archer, FOH Sound Engineer.

In addition guitarist Bruce Watson will be using Trantec’s new S4000 UHF, a professional dedicated guitar system specifically engineered for the output of a musical instrument, whose robust design includes features such as a multi-function receiver, 16 channels which are frequency switchable and the latest PLL tuning technology. The Switchable Receiver LCD display shows chosen frequency selection, RF level, VU, mute level, user ID and Antenna Recognition systems. Based on Trantec’s award-winning S5000 microphone system, the S4000’s user-friendly design and multi-function capabilities define its status as leading edge radio frequency technology at a competitive price.

“It’s the first time I’ve used a Trantec wireless and I’m really blown away “, said Bruce. “The sound quality and reception are exceptional and the beltpack is small and light enough to forget you’re wearing it”
